Seniors offer thanks for Festival of Trees

In grateful appreciation, Archuleta Seniors Inc. would like to give special thanks to Jack and Claudia Rosenbaum for supporting the seniors through the purchase of our tree.

We would like to thank everyone involved with in the Festival of Trees, including Linda Kushner and her assistants, Pat Vermilyea and Diana Millan, for all their hard work decorating our gorgeous tree, and also to Jim Plant for donating the tree and to Roberto Apodaca for assisting with voting.

Memberships

Senior Discount Club memberships are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Menu

If you are a senior (60 years and older), you are eligible for a hot meal, drink and salad bar for a suggested donation of only $4.

The guest fee for those 59 and under is $10 and, for children 10 years and under, is $5 each.

Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 11 — Pork and green chili stew, asparagus, whole wheat tortilla, salad and blueberry cobbler.

Friday, Dec. 12— Shrimp jambalaya, brown rice, squash, okra, fruit cup, banana and salad.

Monday, Dec. 15 — Beef stew with biscuit, fruit salad and salad.

Tuesday, Dec. 16 — Chicken-fried chicken, yogurt, whole wheat roll, potatoes, gravy, California veggies, fruit, spinach, salad and chocolate chip cookie.

Wednesday, Dec. 17 — Pork ribs with corn on the cob, sweet potato, braised cabbage, whole wheat roll, salad and brownie.

Thursday, Dec. 18 — Turkey sandwich with chicken noodle soup, cranberries, watermelon, carrot/pineapple salad and salad.

Reservations and cancellations are required. You can make a reservation at 264-2167 by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you would like to dine in the Community Cafe at the Pagosa Springs Senior Center.

For your convenience, you can make your reservations in advance or have a standing reservation on days you know you will always attend. Please cancel if you cannot attend on your standing reservation days.

We want to thank everyone for their support by observing our reservation policy. This helps ensure that everyone with reservations receives a meal and enables us to provide additional and healthier meals to our seniors.
