Sculptors invited to enter Creede Sculpture Show

Special to The PREVIEW
The Creede Arts Council (CAC) is inviting sculptors to enter the Creede Sculpture Show.
The deadline for entries is May 1. Accepted artists will be provided with space to show and sell their work.
The opening reception will be July 20 at 6 p.m. and the show will be held July 21-22 in the Basham Park area near downtown Creede. The call for entries and additional information is available at www.creedeartscouncil.com.
A unique community with a rich mining and ranching history, Creede has been recognized as one of the best small art towns with artists, galleries, a theater and a strong summer tourism economy. CAC’s dream is to enhance this vibrant atmosphere with the Creede Sculpture Show.
The long-term plan is to install sculptures throughout the community from the canyon north of town and south to the Rio Grande River.
There will be cash and purchase awards. For more information, call (719) 658-0312 or email creedesculpture@gmail.com.
