A few weeks before the start of the 2013-14 school year, Chris Gallegos, the director of the town’s streets department, volunteered a crew and some of the town’s heavy machinery to do the work of reforming the area in front of the old bus barn to turn it into a parking lot where parents could drop off or pick up their students.
One unforeseen consequence of this more efficient traffic pattern is that now there are over 200 cars per day trying to make their way onto, and back off of, the school’s property.
