High Roller lead guitarist Darren Stroud enjoys entertaining the crowd and fellow musicians Andy Janowsky and Jeff Johnson with one of his unique guitar solos. Stroud is a master of many styles and combines everything from Eddie Van Halen to Brad Paisley and more to create his own flashy, fun and original guitar “rides.” The High Rollers will play an outdoor concert in Town Park on July 8 at 7 p.m.

Special to The PREVIEW

For an evening of superb entertainment for the whole family at a price everyone can afford, mark the evening of July 8 on your calendar.

For almost a decade now, The High Rollers, the area’s premier live band and one that has a substantial international fan base, will play a benefit concert for the Pagosa Wrestling Club.

This outdoor concert and dance would truly be a bargain at a much higher price, but to make an event for the entire family, The High Rollers and the Pagosa Wrestling Club try to keep it affordable.

This year, admission is a donation at the gate ($2 minimum is requested but not required, with those under 12 admitted free). The event is supported by concession sales (a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and a soft drink are sold for just $7 a plate), donations at the gate and participation in the baked goods auctions. Pagosa Mountain Morning Rotary club provides a beer garden, as well.

Check out the band’s website, highrollersband.com, and their Facebook page for profiles, videos and music. Then pack a blanket or a lawn chair, bring a donation and enjoy a great evening of entertainment in the beautiful Pagosa Springs mountain evening air.
