Set-up day for vendors will be Thursday, Sept. 26.
This is such a great way to sell some stuff you do not want or need. If you are interested in participating in this one-of-a-kind indoor sale, please call us at the center at 264-4152, or stop by and see us.
Dance to make a difference
Come down to the Ross Aragon Community Center and dance the night away with DJ Dude, while supporting our local nonprofits.
This dance will host eight local nonprofits that make a difference in our community: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Archuleta County Seniors Inc., Habitat for Humanity, Justice Ministries, Mercy Home Health, Archuleta County Crime Stoppers, Pagosa Springs Head Start and Archuleta County Veterans for Veterans.
Voting will take place and the top three nonprofits will each receive a third of the total proceeds from the event. No silent auction, no live auction —just a night of dancing and fun with great people and wonderful nonprofits. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available during this event. The dance is for adults, 18-plus only. Tickets are on sale now for $12 at the Ross Aragon Community Center or you can buy tickets from one of the listed agencies. Tickets will be $15 at the door.
It’s that time again: the staff at the Ross Aragon Community Center is starting to gear up for the 10th annual Halloween Carnival.
This event is free to anyone and everyone. A haunted house, costume contest and many games and activities are offered at this event.
If you are interested in donating candy, please make sure all candy is wrapped individually. Candy donations can be dropped off at the Ross Aragon Community Center Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
If you are interested in decorating or helping at the event, call us or stop by the Ross Aragon Community Center to get signed up.
Computer Class: Becky Herman is putting together a new list of people who are interested in one of her free computer classes. Please contact her if a beginning, intermediate, Word or Excel class would help you. She is also helping those who have a tablet and aren’t sure how to get the most out of it with either group or individual instruction. She would appreciate hearing from anyone who previously requested a class but is no longer interested. This month, a new Excel class begins. Learn how to navigate, to create spreadsheets, to insert mathematical formulas into your documents, as well as how to share your Excel creations. Call Becky for details at 264-2171 or 903-0788, or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
