Chris and Sharon Crump know how to dress up and party down. They’ve had plenty of practice at previous Rotary Casino Nights and this year will provide more of the same as the Pagosa Springs Rotary Club presents Hollywood Mania, Saturday, at the Ross Aragon Community Center.

The anticipation and excitement is building for a night of Hollywood Mania.  On Feb. 2, from 6 to 10 p.m., there will be an evening of gaming, tasty hors d’oeuvres, decadent desserts, and a variety of beverages from a cash bar at the Ross Aragon Community Center.

In the spirit and glamor of Hollywood, there will be interviews on the red carpet as the stars arrive.

The music and dancing will be fabulous. Auction items have been generously donated by local businesses. The variety of dining, luxurious pampering and getaway lodging opportunities  you can bid on is growing every day.  Gaming will include blackjack, poker, Texas Hold’em, craps and more.

This annual charity event, one of Pagosa Springs Rotary Club’s finest, incorporates all the components of a truly gala evening.  Pull a group of your friends together to play, eat, drink, dance, make merry and take home some great auction items.

You will actually be helping the Rotary Club continue its commitment to serve the community and support local programs. To name just a few: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympics, Pagosa Outreach Connection, 9 Health Fair, teacher mini-grants,  and dictionaries for third graders. And the list goes on.

The major beneficiary each year from this fund-raiser is the Rotary Scholarship Foundation, which awards scholarships to college-bound Pagosa Springs High School graduates.  To date, over $303,500 has been awarded to 127 scholarship recipients.  These students are the real stars;  as they progress through their education we watch and support each one of them as they accomplish their dreams.

Come out and enjoy a magical evening Feb. 2 from 6-10 p.m.. at the community center.  Tickets are only $40 and can be purchased from Rotary Club members, at Exit Realty on Put Hill, at Higher Grounds, or by calling Shellie Peterson at 264-2014.
