The annual Dirk and Colt Ross Memorial Basketball Tournament begins today in Pagosa Springs.
Three divisions — Open, 6 foot and under, and 35 and over — will include 32 teams, with games today, April 18, played from 6-10 p.m. at the junior high and middle school gyms.
On Friday, April 19, action at the junior high, middle school and high school gyms runs from 2-10 p.m.
Games at the high school on Saturday are set for 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; competition at the other gyms runs 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
A special memorial presentation, slam-dunk contest and three-point shootout will take place at 6 p.m. Friday in the junior high gym. Door prizes will be awarded at that time.
Admission to the tournament is $3 per day for adults and $2 per day for students. Children under 8 are admitted free. All proceeds go to a scholarship fund to benefit local youth.
