Robin Mark, an internationally known musician/songwriter from Northern Ireland, will be performing locally at Centerpoint Church.

Make your plans now to come out for an evening of great music June 23 at 6 p.m.

From his Belfast, Ireland, home base, Mark combines an international ministry in praise and worship with a leadership role at Christian Fellowship Church, where he has served for over 20 years.

Now emeritus director of worship, Robin provides pastoral oversight to a whole new generation of musicians and leaders in the church where his ground-breaking “Revival in Belfast” album was recorded.

In addition to his ministry roles, Robin is a partner in the acoustics company F.R. Mark and Associates and a lecturer in acoustics at Queens University.

Known for his unique blend of Celtic-style instrumentation and modern Christian worship music, Robin is a previous winner of the Gospel Music Association’s International Award, and was recognized in 2008 as Worship Artist of the Year at a UK Radio Awards ceremony.

He is a prolific songwriter who has penned standards such as “Days of Elijah,” “Lion of Judah,” “The Wonder of Your Cross” and “Jesus, All For Jesus.”

Mark’s discography includes the Integrity Music CDs “Revival In Belfast,” “Come Heal This Land,” “East of the River” and “Year of Grace,” his latest project and the first of his albums recorded in the U.S.

He also is the author of the book “Warrior Poets of the 21st Century,” which charts a personal and biblical journey through worship to underline the importance of a heart of worship in our lives as Christians.

Internationally, Mark has ministered at concerts, conferences and festivals around the world. But in the midst of all his travels, he remains firmly rooted in Northern Ireland.

Tickets will not be sold for this concert, however, a “love offering” will be taken that evening. Local musicians Jason Rose and Denise Chaney will provide a short opening for Mark, singing and playing originals and praise music. Several talented local people have been assembled to play as an ensemble for Mark’s performance.

Centerpoint Church is located at 2750 Cornerstone Drive. The date is Sunday, June 23. Concert starts at 6 p.m., and you won’t want to be late.
