Thingamajig Theatre Company’s children’s theater department, the Whatchamawhozits, are getting ready to start its fall theater class.

This fall, the kids will write a Christmas show together, play acting games that focus on character development and rehearse for a public performance in a fun, professional environment at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.

The class takes place every Friday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. from Sept. 19 to Dec. 5. The Whatchamawhozits will perform their show for the public on the weekend of Dec. 6 and 7. The class is open for young thespians ages 7 to 12.

This class is taught by Executive Director Laura Moore and Thingamajig’s artists in residence, director/choreographer Ryan Hazelbaker (choreographer “Beauty and the Beast,” director “Boeing Boeing”) and 2014 summer stock performer Sam Damare (Barfee in “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”). The cost of the 11-week class is $110. Class size is limited. Please register early.
