Special to The PREVIEW
The Whatchamawhozits Winter Theatre Camp is coming back this December. Over Christmas break, Tyler Price will be directing an original 20-minute play called “Mission Moo Shu” written by the director himself.
The camp will run at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts from Dec. 26-Jan. 4, 2019, with a public performance on Jan. 5, 2019, at 2 p.m. Over those days, kids will get to rehearse the show, play fun theater games, and develop useful skills like public speaking and confidence.
Price, beloved actor of Thingamajig Theatre Company, has directed the Summer Kids Camp productions “Annie” and “Willy Wonka.”
“Mission Moo Shu” tells the story of kids whose parents are abducted by aliens from the planet Moo Shu. The aliens leave a note saying that the kids must raise a certain amount of money to save their parents. So, the kids decide to get their friends together to put on a variety show in their garage to raise the money.
The camp is limited to 20 students and will run Dec. 26, 27, 28, 29 and Jan. 2, 3 and 4, 2019, from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration for the camp is $200 and extremely limited. Students aged 7 to 12 are welcome to register.
