COUNTY OF ARCHULETA, COLORADO
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING ON-CALL SERVICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE County of Archuleta, Public Works Division is requesting Statements of Qualifications to provide on-call Professional Engineering services on an as-needed basis. Services may include civil engineering, geotechnical investigations, traffic engineering designs, construction plans & contract administration, design review, bid phase services, inspection, testing, progress payment reviews, meeting coordination, as-built plan preparation for roadway and other minor projects. The term of the services will be for one year, from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. The County reserves the right to extend the period of services in one year increments for an additional two years.
Sealed Statements of Qualifications will be received until 3:00 PM, October 31, 2013 by the Public Works Division, at 1122 Hwy 84 South, Pagosa Springs, Colorado , 81147. Statements received after that time will not be considered and will be returned without opening to the submitter. All submittals shall be clearly marked “STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES.” Statements of Qualifications shall be limited to a maximum ten (10) single –sided pages.
A selection panel will review and rank the Statement of Qualifications. Firms deemed to be qualified will be selected and may be called upon to submit proposals for specific experience. It is anticipated that a selection will be made by December 2, 2013.
Interested parties must obtain a Request for Qualification (RFQ) prior to submitting a Statement of Qualifications. RFQ will describe the work to be performed, the selection process and basis for selection. Request for Qualifications documents may be obtained at the Public Works Division at the address listed above, or may be accessed through the County of Archuleta website at www.archuletacounty.org. The Archuleta County Board of Commissioners seeks a volunteer to serve on the Archuleta County Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails (PROST) Task Force. Applicants must be County residents and be willing to serve for the remainder of a two year term to expire December 31, 2014. Duties include: facilitation of the execution of the Regional Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Master Plan; recommendations for the development of County Parks and Recreation programs; act as a “voice” of the community. The first reading of Ordinance No. 796 (Series 2013) was completed at the Pagosa Springs Town Council Meeting held on September 3, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. ORDINANCE 796, AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF PAGOSA SPRINGS AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE PAGOSA SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A NEW ARTICLE 5 PROHIBITING THE SALE AND CULTIVATION OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA, INCLUDING MEDICAL MARIJUANA CENTERS, OPTIONAL PREMISES CULTIVATION OPERATIONS AND MEDICAL MARIJUANA-INFUSED PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING, AND A NEW ARTICLE 6 PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF MARIJUANA CLUBS, MARIJUANA CULTIVATION FACILITIES, MARIJUANA PRODUCT MANUFACTURING FACILITIES, MARIJUANA TESTING FACILITIES AND RETAIL MARIJUANA STORES; WHICH ORDINANCE WILL AUTOMATICALLY EXPIRE ON MARCH 1, 2015, UNLESS EXTENDED OR READOPTED. Violation of this Ordinance is subject to enforcement and punishment pursuant to Article 3, Chapter 1 of the Pagosa Springs Municipal Code, including Section 1.3.3. providing for a fine not to exceed $1,000, or incarceration for not to exceed 1 year, or both, that violation of the ordinance constitutes a public nuisance that may be abated pursuant to Article 2, Chapter 11 of the P.S.M.C., that the Town may seek injunction, abatement, or restitution in case of violation, and any other remedies provided by law or equity.
