The second reading of Ordinance No. 812 (Series 2014) was completed at the Pagosa Springs Town Council Meeting held on July 1, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. ORDINANCE 812, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY BY THE TOWN OF PAGOSA SPRINGS OF A LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN, AS LESSEE, AND THE PAGOSA SPRINGS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AS LESSOR FOR THE PURPOSES OF FINANCING THE ACQUISITION OF THE VISITOR’S CENTER PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING OFFICIALS OF THE TOWN TO TAKE ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE TRANSACTIONS CONTEMPLATED HEREBY AND PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS. The ordinance went into effect July 1, 2014 and the full text of the ordinance, including any amendments, is available for public inspection at the office of the Town Clerk at Town Hall.

The Town has received an Application for “The Vacation of Public Right of Way (ROW)”

for a portion the unimproved 6/7th Alley ROW north of the Navajo Street ROW, abutting lots 1-7 and lot 8x in Block 50.

The Town Planning Commission will consider making a recommendation to Town Council regarding the “Vacation of Public Right of Way” Application, at a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 5:30pm in Town Hall.

The Town Council will consider the Application for “Vacation of Public Right of Way” and the recommendation from the Planning Commission, at Public Hearings on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 5pm and August 21 at noon in Town Hall.

Verbal Public comments will be accepted at each scheduled Public Hearing.

Written Public comments should be received by the Town Planning Department, 8 days prior to each scheduled public hearing, to ensure written comments are included in the board packets that are sent out 7 days prior to each scheduled public hearing. Anyone interested in more information should contact the Town Planning Department at 970-264-4151 x225. Town Hall is located at 551 Hot Springs Blvd.

Lee Gravel Pit Reclamation Conditional Use Permit at 181 County Rd 975 in the Arboles area. The property is approximately 39 acre with a historic non permitted pit. The proposal is for a Conditional Use Permit to remove the stock piled aggregate and reclaim the historical non permitted pit.
