NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Mineral County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Meeting at the Mineral County Courthouse, 1201 North Main Street, Creede, Colorado, beginning at 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2013 to consider an application for a Conditional Use.

The Application filed by Tower Engineering Professionals, Inc. on behalf of Mercury Towers, Frisco, TX, requests a Conditional Use for a 150-foot Mono-Pine Cell Tower to be placed on Bootjack Ranch. The proposed compound is 75 feet by 75 feet. The compound would contain an electronic equipment shelter, propane tank and generator as well as the tower. With access and several utility easements the project encompasses 4-tenths of an acre.

The general location of the project appears to be near the headquarters of the historic West Fork Ranch. It is located within the SW1/4-NE1/4 Section 32, T37N, R1E, NMPM, Mineral County, Colorado. The property is zoned Rural. The property’s address is 12500 S. Hwy 160, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147.

Questions may be addressed to the Land Use Administrator at the Courthouse, 1201 North Main St., Creede, CO. There are no other ownerships within one-half mile of the proposed conditional use.

At a later date to be determined, the Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on the Application. The Notice of Public Hearing will be published in the Mineral County Miner and the Pagosa Springs Sun. No special notice of this Public Hearing will be mailed to anyone.

The Town of Pagosa Springs has received a “Major Design Review” Development Application from Tractor Supply Company for the construction of a 23,000 square foot retail development located at 205 U.S. Highway 84. The Design Review Board will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 5:15pm to consider a determination on the application as it relates to the Town’s Land Use Development Code. Anyone interested in more information should contact the Town Planning Department at 970-264-4151 x225. Public comments will be heard at the public hearing and written comments will be accepted 8 days in advance of the public hearing date. All comments received prior to the public hearing will be forwarded to the Planning Commission for consideration.
