Qualified General Contractors are invited to submit a bid under seal to the Owner for construction of a facility located at the above address. The owner will receive Bids clearly marked “Courthouse Roof” at the Archuleta County Courthouse (Attention: Larry Walton, Contracts & Procurement Officer), 449 San Juan Street, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147, until 2:00 PM local standard time on the 4th day of October, 2013, for the following project:

Description: Roof Reconstruction at the Archuleta County Building located at 449 San Juan Street, Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

The Owner requires the Project to be completed May 31, 2014. General Contract Bidders shall submit qualifications along with their bid which will be utilized along with bid price in evaluating the contract award. Utilize AIA Document A305 – Contractor’s Qualification Statement. Bidding Documents for a Stipulated Price contract may be obtained from the office of the Architect/Engineer upon receipt of a refundable deposit, by cash certified check, in the amount of $150 for one set. Electronic (PDF) plans are available free of charge from the Architect. Documents can be obtained by general contract and sub-contract Bidders. All General Contractors intending to submit a bid for the project shall register with the Architect. Send your intent to bid via e-mail to treynolds@ra-ae.com<mailto:treynolds@ra-ae.com>. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 00 21 14 and Document 00 31 00. Submit your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders are required to complete Bid Form. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.

2014 VALE FUNDS – 6TH Judicial District, La Plata, San Juan & Archuleta Counties

(VICTIM ASSISTANCE and 

LAW ENFORCEMENT GRANT)

GRANT PERIOD: January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2014

The Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Board announces the availability of 6th Judicial District VALE funds. The VALE Board is a five member, volunteer, community board appointed by the judicial district’s Chief Judge, the Honorable Gregory Lyman. Funding for these grants is generated from a surcharge or fees assessed to people convicted of felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses and fish and game violations, no tax dollars are used.

APPROXIMATE AMOUNT AVAILABLE: $150,000

During 2013 grant cycle, eleven agencies were funded for a total of $166,700.

FUNDING PURPOSE: The purpose of the 6th Judicial District VALE grant process is to fund effective and efficient programs who will provide services to crime victims in the 6th Judicial District and assist them with: emotional and physical needs to stabilize their lives, provide a measure of safety and security, and/or enhance victims’ experience with the criminal justice system.

FUNDING PRIORITIES: Programs that are required to implement the victim’s rights constitutional amendment, programs that provide direct services to crime victims and witnesses as outlined in VALE statute*, victim-related training, equipment and personnel needs of law enforcement agencies. The VALE Board has also established the following priorities: agencies working with children and young adults; agencies offering a unique service to the community (unmet needs in an underserved community); programs that provide direct services to victims of violent crime, unique and non-duplicative programs. The VALE Board may take into consideration factors other than those stated above in making their final decisions. Board members may award money for projects not designated in the priority categories. The fact that an applicant meets eligibility requirements and applies for services within a priority category does not guarantee funding.
