BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEARING ON September 1, 2015 

Brian and Carleen Mangold, represented by Mountain Land Associates of Pagosa Springs, have made application for vacation of an access easement across their property, in the N1/2NW1/4 GLO Lot 2, and S1/2NW1/4 GLO Lot 2, S23 T35N R2W NMPM, at 155 Travis Place, Pagosa Springs, as provided by Section 4.6.5 of the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations.

The Archuleta Board of County Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposal on September 1, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 398 Lewis Street, Pagosa Springs. Public comments will be taken at the hearing. Comments regarding this proposal may also be submitted to the Archuleta County Planning Department, P.O. Public Notice:

The San Juan River Village Metro District will be holding a Public Hearing regarding the Petition for Exclusion from the District submitted by Greg Hanslip, 11519 Early Forest Lane, Houston, TX 77043. The property to be considered is: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 of the San Juan River Resort Subdivision Unit No. 2 – Replat 2013, formerly known as Lots 167, 168, 169, 170, 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 177 of the Second Amended Plat of San Juan River Resort Subdivision Unit No. 2. The Hearing will be held on September 10, 2015 at 6:30 pm, 402 San Juan St., Pagosa Springs, CO. All persons interested shall appear at the designated time and place and show cause in writing why the petition should not be granted. The failure of any person in the District to file a written objection shall be taken as an assent.

The Southwest Basins Roundtable is seeking persons interested in serving on the Roundtable. There are currently eight at-large positions up for election. Four at-large positions represent particular interests: agriculture, recreation, local domestic water providers, and industry. Applicants for these positions should submit a letter with their qualifications to represent a specific water interest.

There are also four at-large positions with no specific affiliation. Applicants for these positions should also submit a letter with their qualifications to Laura Spann at lauras@swwcd.org or Southwestern Water Conservation District, 841 E Second Avenue, Durango, CO 81301 no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

Elections will be held at the October 14 meeting at the Durango Public Library at 3:00 pm, at which applicants will have an opportunity to address the Roundtable.
