Dear Editor:

I want to thank all of you who have told me how you enjoy my letters. Some of these people I don’t even know. It is so easy to be positive about the people in this area.

I wondered who was responsible for picking up trash on U.S. 160. They worked like beavers and covered a great distance. It is a pleasure to come from Aspen Springs into town and have a clean right of way.

And then I noticed the flowers planted all around the trees in the Country Center parking lot. How they dress up the place. Thank you to the people responsible.

Do you know Bill Baughman (a senior at the high school) or maybe Nick Tallent (a young businessman) in town? Well, you should. They have something in common and that is called “to be of service.” I have known Billy and his wonderful sister, Leslie, for years and I must say Bill has surprised all of us and it has been great fun watching him grow up and gain “wisdom.” Nick can’t do enough for others and we will see a lot of him in the future. Right now he is a “Big Brother,” involved with Rotary and Kiwanis, on the Chamber board and a member of TTC. We can’t ask for much more than that.
