Penguin Pop-in Parties. What? A Penguin Pop-in Party?

The Pagosa Springs Youth Center has wonderful volunteers willing to jump in the San Juan River during the upcoming Penguin Plunge.

To help them raise money, some of the downtown business owners have offered to help. You can help, too, by “popping in” and donating.

On Wednesday, Feb. 6, Home Again is donating a $30 gift certificate as a door prize in a drawing for all the customers who pop in and make a Plunge donation. On Thursday, Feb. 7, River Point Cafe will donate a cookie to go with your drink when you make a Plunge donation for the center.

And, on Friday, Feb. 8, The Rose Restaurant will offer free dessert to customers who pop in with a donation.

Pop in to any of these businesses and help support the Pagosa Springs Youth Center.

Don’t forget to come out and cheer on our Penguins at the Plunge on Feb. 10. The Youth Center’s Plungers are Patricia Shoffner, Connor Bjork, Nick Tallent and Michael Whiting (sharing with Seeds of Learning).

If you have any questions about the Penguin Plunge, call Patricia at the Chamber where she, too, will be happy to take a donation.
