Pirates No. 25 seed in state tournament, travel to Denver for first round

The Pirates will kick off state tournament action on Friday against the No. 8 DSST: Stapleton Knights at 4 p.m.

In the first round of the Intermountain League (IML) tournament, the Pagosa Springs High School Pirate boys basketball team seemingly could get nothing going offensively, dropping their tournament opener on Feb. 20 to the No. 4-seeded Alamosa Mean Moose (12-10 overall, 5-5 in league play) 48-26.
