Ahoy mateys! The Pirate Plunge Mud Run careens through Pagosa Springs on July 26. It’s a 5K mud run obstacle course where you can compete as a team or race solo. The run is designed for all athletic abilities and is not a “race” in the traditional sense. It is an untimed obstacle course designed to push participants slightly out of their comfort zone, but only as far as they want to go.
The Pirate Plunge Mud Run kicks off at 10 a.m. The Pagosa Springs High School Athletic Booster Club is hosting this event on the grounds of Pagosa Springs High School at Pirate Hill and at Yamaguchi Park. Athletes will be challenged, get dirty and be photographed throughout our 13-obstacle mud run.
At the finish line, all athletes will receive a free beverage, alcoholic if age appropriate, or water. We will have a beer garden and food vendors so you can enjoy lunch while you proudly boast your day’s accomplishments and enjoy music by Soul Shine. Whether this is your first race or you’re a mud run enthusiast, the Pirate Plunge has first-rate obstacles and a course for you.
The Pirate Plunge Mud Run supports the athletes of Pagosa Springs High School. The race entry goes toward the awesome course and all athletes of Pagosa Springs High School. This event is greatly supported by the community. Come enjoy summer in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Find fun, excitement and camaraderie while enjoying great music, adult beverages and hours of fun.
Visit pirateplunge.com to register for the event or for more information, and like us on Facebook for race updates.
The minimum age to participate is 13 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.
