The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday evening, May 14, in the Pinon Room of The Quality Resort. Join us for socializing at 6 p.m. (drinks and appetizers are available for purchase), followed by the program and short business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The photography club will continue to meet the second Wednesday of each month year-round at 6 p.m. in the Pinon Room of The Quality Resort.

The May photo club meeting will be presented by club member and president Al Olsen. The presentation will include “Elements of Fine Art Photography,” such as composition, design elements, use of separation, cropping, rules of presentation of photographs and more. The presentation will conclude with notes on the importance of “sharp focus and depth of field.”

Members are also encouraged to bring 10-20 photographs on a flash drive or CD for review and discussion following the program, as time permits.

Photography enthusiasts at all levels of ability are invited to attend club meetings at no charge for the first meeting. If interested, you are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for individuals, $30 for a family membership and $10 for a student membership.
