This month’s Photography Club program is titled “Photographing Utah’s Canyon Country — Off the Beaten Path,” and will be illustrated with photos taken by Andy Butler during more than 30 years of backpacking in southern Utah.

The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday evening, April 9, in the Pinon Room of The Quality Resort. Join us for socializing at 6 p.m. (drinks and appetizers will be available for purchase), followed by the program and short business meeting at 6:30 p.m. The Photography Club will continue to meet the second Wednesday of each month year around at 6 p.m. in the Pinon Room.

The April Photo Club meeting will be presented by club member Andy Butler. The program is titled “Photographing Utah’s Canyon Country — Off the Beaten Path,” and will be illustrated with photos taken by Andy during more than 30 years of backpacking in southern Utah. Andy will discuss several regions with great photographic opportunities, most of them outside of the busy national parks. He will also present tips on camera and lens selection, and logistics for photographing while hiking in remote areas.

Members are also encouraged to bring 10-20 photographs on a flash drive or CD for review and discussion following the program, as time permits.

Photography enthusiasts of all levels of ability are invited to attend club meetings at no charge for the first meeting. If interested, you are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for individuals, $30 for a family membership and $10 for a student membership.

For more information concerning the meeting, contact Al Olson at 903-9415, Steve Merchant at 264-1226 or TJ Reynolds at 731-9581.
