Pagosans receive Fort Lewis College Foundation scholarships

The Fort Lewis College Foundation holds and administers over 70 donor scholarships with varied criteria based on merit, need, passion, goals, and accomplishments. Students must fully qualify and apply each year in order to receive any one of these elite scholarships.

The following students from Pagosa Springs are scholarship recipients:

Saje Brinkmann received the Wayne Schild Scholarship in the amount of $500 for the 2013-14 academic year. Brinkmann’s major is chemistry.

Mary Brinton received the Edith McPherson Scholarship in the amount of $1,200 for the 2013-14 academic year. Brinton’s major is athletic training.

Megan Bryant received the Edith McPherson Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for the 2013-14 academic year. Bryant’s major is public health. Bryant also received the Robert Mitoshi Dalla Scholarship in the amount of $200 for the 2013-14 academic year.

Taylor Cunningham received the Betty Haskell Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 for the 2013-14 academic year. Cunningham’s major is psychology.

Denise Espinosa received the Callisto & Catherine Luchini Scholarship in the amount of $750 for the 2013-14 academic year. Espinosa’s major is public health.

Zachariah Graveson received the Scott Whiteside Scholarship in the amount of $500 for the 2013-14 academic year. Graveson’s major is marketing.

Joshua Jones, of Pagosa Springs, received the James Mark Jones Scholarship in the amount of $1,200 for the 2013-14 academic year. Jones’s major is economics-business economics option, and philosophy.

Amber Lark received the TLC for FLC Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for the 2013-14 academic year. Lark’s major is anthropology.

Wesley Laverty received the Helen Kroeger-Faris Scholarship in the amount of $4,800 for the 2013-14 academic year. Laverty’s major is environmental studies-general option.

Wesley Schoneman received the Betty Haskell Scholarship in the amount of $250 for the 2013-14 academic year. Schoneman also received the Vectra Bank Scholarship, valued at $250 for the academic year. Schoneman’s major is biology-environmental biology option.
