Pagosa Peaks Volleyball Club brings the sport of volleyball to middle and high school-aged girls year round. With 32 girls competing this season, PPVC has four competitive teams, including a new team for girls 12 and under.
Two PPVC teams will compete at Colorado Crossroads — the largest volleyball tournament in the state with over 1,000 teams participating over two weekends. Crossroads is a national qualifier tournament for the Junior Olympics and is heavily attended by college recruiters.
Peaks 14’s team, coached by Chelsea Hamilton, competed March 7-10. Peaks 16’s team, coached by Shane Lucero and Charmain Smith, will compete March 14-16.
“Crossroads falls at a great time during our season. We have a few smaller tournaments under our belts, and the player’s skills and confidence are peaking. I expect a fun and successful weekend for our team,” said Lucero.
