Special to The PREVIEW
The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership is hosting an environmental art exhibit that will be on view in the back room at First Crush and the Backroom Wine Bar, during the Colorado Environmental Film Festival Caravan, July 26-27.
The exhibit will be on view July 25–28. First Crush is open from noon to 7 p.m. daily and The Backroom Wine Bar is open from 4:30 until 10 p.m. daily.
The exhibition will feature local and regional artists whose work addresses, reacts to or interacts with the broad idea of environmentalism and environment. The exhibit features diverse artworks by Karl Isberg, Jenny Gummersall, Gail Hershey, Lorraine Trenholm, Mary Ellen Long, Jan Heyl, Carol Cooke and Chad Haspels. Most works will be for sale and a portion of the proceeds from each sale will benefit the Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership.
Artists were selected to participate by Leanne Goebel an independent art critic, curator and writer — a 2009 NEA International Arts Journalism in the Visual Arts Fellow, a 2007 Creative Capital Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writer’s Grant Recipient and a member of the International Association of Art Critics. Goebel is a senior contributor to adobeairstream.com.
