Outlaw Snowdown events begin today

By Melissa Buckley
Special to The PREVIEW

The Outlaw Snowdown, now being held in celebration of Jerry Buckley, is this weekend, Feb. 7-10.

The extended Buckley family (our close friends included) is looking forward to the opportunity to bust out our best Daddy Buckley-inspired dance moves in his honor.

The first gathering on the agenda is the Official Outlaw Snowdown Kickoff Soirée at the Backroom Wine Bar on Thursday night at 8 p.m. The free event will feature live music from Rag Water and an opportunity to buy passes or swap your already-purchased tickets for wristbands for the main event. The Backroom Wine Bar is located at 175 Pagosa St. next to Farrago Market Cafe.

Byron Dowd will play an apres ski set at Kip’s Bar and Grill at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Doors for the main event, held in a heated tent in Town Park on Hermosa Street, will open at 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The schedule is as follows:

Friday

The Brooks-i Band: 5 p.m.

Caitlin Cannon + the Artillery: 6:15 p.m.
