Performers DaNia Anderson, Michelle Wolfe, Michael Hume and Jeremy Everett — The Original Dickens Carolers — bring their show “Absolute Noel” to the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, Dec, 19 and 20 at 7 p.m.

After months of planning and coordinating schedules, the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, in collaboration with Thingamajig Theatre Company, is pleased to announce The Original Dicken’s Carolers, Denver’s premiere Victorian caroling company, will perform their show “Absolute Noel” Dec. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.

The Original Dickens Carolers originally began in historic Larimer Square and have performed for corporations, private individuals, concert halls and many fine shopping centers since its inception. If you’ve spent any time in Denver around the holiday season, you may have seen them as the featured carolers for Cherry Creek Shopping Center’s popular tree lighting ceremony.

Absolute Noel is their elegant “cocktail-hour” group. Dressed in beautiful matching dresses and dark suits or a fun daytime look, Absolute Noel serenades guests with traditional and jazz arrangements of favorite holiday songs.

Recognizable by their highly animated and energetic performance style, this elite, unique group is comprised entirely of professional actors and singers. Individually they perform regularly at area theaters including the Denver Center, The Arvada Center and area choirs as well as other professional singing groups. In 2008, The Original Dickens Carolers were featured on ‘Good Morning America’ as they unveiled the Mile High City’s window display.

The Original Dickens Carolers was started by energetic musical theatre performers 25 years ago at Larimer Square.  Inspired by their love of entertaining, they focused on interaction, music and humor to create a professional performance style that continues to charm Colorado and national audiences.  With the continuous addition of new songs and “bits” over the years they strive to present fresh offerings while delivering the familiar and traditional favorites with consistent quality.

Crowd pleasers such as the interactive (and often competitive), “Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Jingle Bells” and two to five minute-long plays; “Jabeez Dawes, the Boy Who Laughed at Santa Claus,” “A Visit From St. Nick” and “A Christmas Carol, abridged” showcase this group’s ability to present beautifully tender moments as well as interactive humor to a wide range of Christmas holiday events.

Don’t miss this very special opportunity to see The Original Dickens Carolers in concert at PSCA this holiday season. It’s the perfect way to entertain visiting guests or settle into the season with your loved ones.

Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts and Thingamajig Theatre Company present, “The Original Dickens Carolers: Absolute Noel” Dec. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. The concert is appropriate for all ages. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door and can be purchased by visiting www.pagosacenter.org or calling 731-SHOW.
