‘Nutcracker’ auditions today, tomorrow

Curtains Up Pagosa (CUP) will be holding auditions for its winter show, “Nutcracker the Musical,” on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 6 and 7, at Pagosa Springs High School.
We are excited to collaborate with a local dance academy on this production to enhance the show.
We are pleased to bring the “Nutcracker” to our community, Pagosa style.
Auditions for dance academy students only will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. with an age breakdown as follows: 4 to 5 p.m. for ages 7-10; 5 to 6 p.m. for ages 11-13; and 6 to 7 p.m. for ages 14 and up. Dance academy students, please contact Casey Crow with any questions.
Regular CUP auditions for performers age 7 and up will be held on Sept. 7 from 2 to 7 p.m.
We are seeking actors and performers for all roles, including: Nutcracker Prince, Mouse King, soldiers, Godfather Drosselmier, Sugar Plum Fairy, mice, angels, Marie, Nanny, Silvi, party guests and more.
For CUP’s Friday auditions, please prepare to sing one verse of a Broadway show tune of your choosing and bring sheet music; an accompanist is provided. Script readings and a group dance will be part of the audition.
We are looking forward to your “Nutcracker” audition.
