New Thought to explore the skill of empathy

By Lisa Burnson
Special to The PREVIEW
Wonder what talent some possess that makes them so rich, successful and happy?
Many have a natural ability to understand the emotional, mental or physical state of others. We call this empathy.
The ability to connect to people easily, feel their emotions and understand them can enhance your personal life, business and community interactions. Don’t hide your talent.
By acquiring tools to properly use the skill of empathy, you can magnify your genius consciousness, which results in respect and honor for yourself and others.
Dr. Constance d’Angelis will pinpoint the seven laws of empathy and show us how to use this gift to exalt your life at 10 a.m. on Oct. 8 at Pagosa Community of New Thought.
d’Angelis is a speaker, workshop leader, educator, mentor and author.
The Monday evening movie, to be shown Oct. 9 at 6 p.m., is “The Human Experience,” a true story of two brothers who travel the world attempting to answer the question, “What does it mean to be human?” Everyone is welcome to attend.
We welcome everyone to come and join us — lift your heart and spirit in song, prayer and meditation. You will do amazing things. Welcome home. We’ve been waiting for you.
Weekly 10 a.m. Sunday gatherings and Monday 6 p.m. film/discussion groups are held at our center in the Momentum Fitness building at 40 N. 15th St., which is on the north side of U.S. 160.
For information about the church, attend a Sunday service, email PagosaCommunityNewThought@gmail.com, call 749-9020 or mail to P.O. Box 1052 Pagosa Springs, CO 81147-1052. You can also find us on Facebook or at our website: www.PagosaNewThought.org.
