Special to The SUN
Chimney Rock Interpretive Association (CRIA) invites community members to attend a special potluck and auction at the Pagosa Springs Community Center on Thursday, Dec. 12.
CRIA will auction off 14 Native American rugs in a variety of colors and sizes, from several highly acclaimed designers.
The potluck will begin at 6 p.m., with the auction to follow at 7. Bring your favorite dish to share at the potluck or attend the auction only, if desired. The rugs will be on display for viewing during the potluck. Read next week’s SUN for detailed information about the rugs and artists.
Chimney Rock Interpretive Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that conducts daily tours and operates the Visitor Center at Chimney Rock National Monument. Their mission, in partnership with the San Juan National Forest, is to provide the site’s care, protection and preservation, as well as public interpretation and education, and to manage the interpretive program at the monument under a special use permit with the Pagosa Ranger District, USDA Forest Service.
