The Promotora of San Juan Basin Health and the Ross Aragon Community Center invite you to a mini-health fair today, Aug. 15.
From 8 a.m.-4 p.m. you can obtain screening for diabetes, hypertension and oxygen saturation just by walking in. If you are interested in getting your cholesterol or triglycerides checked, call to make an appointment, (970) 335-2062. You will need to fast overnight before this screening. All the screenings above are free to the public and will focus on the Spanish speaking community.
Rummage Sale applications
It’s time to clean out those closets, basements, garages and attics before winter hits.
The Rummage Sale at the center will be held Friday, Sept. 27, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28,from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Applications are being accepted and spaces are filling up fast.
If you are interested in reserving a 10×10 spot for $35 for both days, call us at the center, 264-4152, or stop by and see us.
Computer: Becky Herman is putting together a list of people who are interested in free computer classes. Contact her if a beginning, intermediate, Word or Excel class would help you. She is also assisting groups or individuals, and those who have a tablet and aren’t sure how to get the most out of it. She would appreciate hearing from anyone who previously requested a class but is no longer interested. This month, a new Excel class begins. Learn how to navigate, to create spreadsheets, to insert mathematical formulas into your documents, and how to share your Excel creations.
