McCabe Creek Bridge

Town planner James Dickhoff has asked for a chance to clarify his most recent report to town council concerning the McCabe Creek Bridge project. The $2.1 million increase in projected costs is mostly due to the Colorado Department of Transportation decision to build a bridge in that location. The original plan was to simply replace the old, failing culvert with a new, larger culvert. The difference in price is not due to the need to acquire the downstream property, which is, in fact, closer to $200,000 in value.
