March to the movies for some Seussical family fun

By Aubrie Limebrook
Special to The PREVIEW

Do you need a great, inexpensive family outing to fill a Saturday? If so, bring everyone to the Liberty Theatre on Saturday, March 22, for a Dr. Seuss birthday celebration.

The day will kick off at 10 a.m. (doors open at 9 a.m.) with the fun movie “Horton Hears A Who.” Then, at 1 p.m. (doors re-open at noon) families will be treated to the exciting tale of “The Lorax.” During the hour before each show there will be lots of terrific snacks on sale for everyone to enjoy, face painting for $2 and possibly some surprise visitors.

For even more fun, be sure to come dressed as your favorite Dr. Seuss or movie character.

This event is being presented by the Parent Advisory Committee of Seeds of Learning. Tickets are $5 per person (there is no charge for admittance of children under 2) and can be purchased at Seeds of Learning until March 20 or at the door (cash only on the day of the event).

All proceeds from the day will go toward continuing the excellent early education program provided for Pagosa tots at Seeds of Learning. Don’t miss this great opportunity to spend some time with your kids and to help Seeds, too.
