Special to The PREVIEW
Next week is Valentine’s Day.
Are your plans made?
If you want to treat and impress your sweetie, take her or him out for dinner and use United Way’s Party ‘Round Pagosa Dining Certificates. Dining certificates cost $20 and are valid at 29 local restaurants. Did you even know you had so many places to choose from?
By using United Way dining certificates, you enjoy a great meal with your loved ones and benefit your whole community at the same time. Participating restaurants donate $4 from every certificate to United Way in Archuleta County, which funds 18 local non-profit agencies working in the areas of health, education and self-reliance.
Most restaurants allow you to use more than one certificate in one sitting, as long as you spend in multiples of $20. Most allow the certificates to be used for beverages as well as food, but please check with your server when ordering. Certificates are not to be used for tax and tip.
Here are all your choices: A Chivalrous Shark, Alley House Grille, Bacci Italian Restaurant, Backroom Wine Bar, Bear Creek Saloon and Grill (limit one per group), Boss Hogg’s Restaurant and Saloon, Boulder Coffee Café, Buffalo Inn Restaurant and Bar, Café Colorado, Chavolo’s Mexican Restaurant, Chimney Rock Restaurant and Tavern, Coyote Moon, DSP Pizzeria, Farrago Market Café, Higher Grounds Coffee Company (you can even buy a gift card), Kip’s Grill and Cantina, Nello’s Bistro, On the Rocks Country Bar and Bistro, Pagosa Baking Company, Pagosa Brewing and Grill, Pagosa Peaks Pizza, Plaza Grille, Ramon’s Mexican Restaurant, Shang Hai Chinese Restaurant, Smokin’ Moe’s BBQ, Thai Chilie, The Pines Restaurant at Pagosa Springs Golf Club, The Rose, and Two Chicks and A Hippy.
You can purchase United Way dining certificates by calling the local office at 731-0484. You can also pick them up from United Way volunteers and partner agencies, and at the Pagosa Area Chamber of Commerce, Pagosa Lakes Recreation Center and the Ross Aragon Community Center.
Don’t wait, Valentine’s Day is almost her. Dining certificates are valid through March 31, 2013.
