In our volatile economic times, it is easy to have a sense of insecurity when looking at your financial future.
Michael Dalsaso, a retirement consultant, has agreed to facilitate a workshop at Archuleta County Education Center, addressing some of the concerns for those of us approaching retirement years.
This course is intended to help owners of IRA, 401(k) and 403(b), and other retirement accounts:
• Make informed decisions.
• Avoid costly mistakes.
• Get the maximum benefits from their retirement savings.
To accomplish these goals, the course is split into two, two-hour modules.
The first class will review the current environment of retirement challenges in today’s America. At the end of the first class, you will be given the book (included in the class fee), “Top 10 IRA Mistakes,” to read as homework for the second class. This is an approximately three-hour read.
The second class will cover the top 10 IRA mistakes and how to avoid IRS tax-traps.
Dalsaso has consulted, managed and marketed retirement plans throughout the U.S. and southwest Colorado since 1994. He is the immediate past-president of the local chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) and their current ethics chairman. He was the risk manager for the Southern Ute Nation, has earned professional designations and served as a naval officer after graduating from Colorado State University’s School of Business.
The two-session course will be held Thursdays, Oct. 4 and 11, from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required and the cost for the class is $50.
