Special to The PREVIEW

Here is why you should send your child to Hands-On Arts Camp: Hands-On Arts Camp offers incredible art projects taught by Tessie Garcia and Lisa Brown, who have 52 years of combined teaching experience.

Hands-on Arts Camp is for students entering the first through sixth grades.

The camp takes place Monday through Thursday. Student drop-off is at 8:45 a.m., with classes beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m. in the Pagosa Springs High School art rooms.

Each week is based on an art theme:

• June 12-15 is Teacher Faves — Miss Tessie’s and Miss Lisa’s favorite art projects throughout the years.

• June 19-22 is African-themed art such as African masks, batiks and Egyptian mummiforms.

• June 26-29 is Native American art such as pottery. A music class will be incorporated with the week’s theme on selected days.

Each Thursday, students will showcase their art creations in an art show. For more information, check out our website: http://www.hands-on-artscamp.com/.

The cost of classes for a week is $120 a week or $35 for a daily drop off. There are many ways to save with tuition based on your needs.

Preregister by June 1 and save $10 off for each week. A family discount of $10 off is offered for each additional child per week. Sign up for two weeks and get the third week half off. Limited partial scholarships are available upon request. PayPal and checks are accepted.
