Lassoing up art at Hands-On Arts Camp

Highlights for the last week oof Hands-On Art Camp: A tour of Fred Harman Art Museum and “Art and Horse,” by Kat Green.

Art projects will include cowboy and cowgirl wanted posters, Western silhouettes, cowboy boot pottery and more.

Young artists will learn to create art through a variety of techniques, materials and cultures. The camp teachers are certified art educators Lisa Brown and Tessie Garcia.

There is one session left, which will be held Monday through Thursday, July 8–11, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Pagosa Springs Elementary School Art Room.

Tuition is $120 per week. Family discount: first child full price, $20 off for each additional child. The fee includes instruction and materials.

Class limit is 20 students per week for students entering first to sixth grades next year.
