Come join us for the fourth annual Michael Maestas Memorial Kids’ rodeo and team roping on Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. (entries taken at 9 a.m.) at the rodeo grounds (Western Heritage Events Center).

There will be timed events for various age groups. This rodeo is great family fun, with age groups for 5 and under, 6-8 years old, 9-11 years old, 12-14 years old, and 15-19 years old. The events include barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, flag race and roping events. These kids will impress you with their riding ability, warm your hearts and put a smile on your face as you watch them compete for handcrafted belt buckles.

The jackpot team roping will begin following the kids’ rodeo (approximately 3 p.m.). This is open to adults, as well.

All proceeds will go to the Michael Maestas Memorial Scholarship fund. This year’s scholarship recipient is Creede Wiley.

See you at the rodeo.
