Kids and art should never be apart

Highlight at the Hands-On Arts Camp for Week 3:  Art of Fantasia.

Fantasy art will include fairies, dragonflies, gnomes, pop-up castle books and under-the-sea, Eric Carle-style art work.

We will be clayin’ around and making outdoor functional pieces.  Also, kids will upcycle jeans to make pillows.

The Week 4 theme is Cowboy/Cowgirl Art.

Young artists will learn to create art through a variety of techniques, materials and cultures,  taught by certified art educators Lisa Brown and Tessie Garcia.

There are two sessions left: Monday through Thursday, June 24-27 and July 8-11, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Pagosa Springs Elementary School art room.  Tuition is $120 per week.  Family discount: first child full price, $20 off for each additional child.  The fee includes instruction and materials.  Daily dropoff rate is $35.  Class limit is 20 students per week for students entering first to sixth grades next school year.
