A hunter education class will be offered Aug. 28 and 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. (Students must attend both sessions.) Classes will be held at the San Juan Mounted Patrol Building, 302 San Juan St. The fee is $10.

Students should register online prior to the class. To register, go to wildlife.state.co.us/hunting and click on “Hunter Education.” Then click on “find a course at a place and time to fit your schedule” at the top of the page and follow the directions.

All programs, services and activities of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife are operated in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need accommodation due to a disability, please contact Don Volger at 264-2197. To assure that the Parks and Wildlife can meet special needs, please notify Volger at least seven days before the class.

These courses are sponsored by the Pagosa Springs Police Department in conjunction with the Colorado Parks and Wildlife, with support from the local chapter of the Friends of the NRA.
