Special to The PREVIEW
The Holiday Bazaar has been a part of the Pagosa Holiday season for many years.
This year’s Bazaar will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 , from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Ross Aragon Community Center.
The following poem was originally printed in the Pagosa Springs SUN in November 2000. A few changes were made to update this reminder in rhyme of the shopping opportunities one might find at the Holiday Bazaar this weekend.
“Cookies, cakes and candy
Baskets to buy that are rather dandy.
Paintings to bid on Silently and party favors
Youth Group Diner’s yummy flavors.
Suede, leather, raffia and strings,
Pottery, pendants, placemats and rings.
Christmas cards and maybe a candlewick
So many fun surprises just for you to pick
Come browse among the 65 booths and buy a few
Holiday treasures made just for you.
Plan to shop this weekend, take advantage of the season
It will help your local artisans and that’s a perfect reason.
Remember, you don’t have to travel far
Just find your stocking stuffers this weekend
At the Homemaker’s Bazaar.”
