Special to The PREVIEW
Mark your calendars for June 13 at 7 p.m.
This year, we are again fortunate to have the Hazel Miller Band visit Pagosa Springs.
When Miller came last year to perform for a Relay for Life fund-raiser, she suggested we make it an annual event and was privileged to be asked to help with such an important cause, in such a beautiful place.
Last year’s event was a great success and we are hoping this year will be even better.
The Ross Aragon Community Center will host the concert this year to benefit Music That Matters Relay for Life team.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7.
This is an all-ages show and food and drink as well as a cash bar will be available.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and can be purchased at the Ross Aragon Community Center, Bank of the San Juans or Community United Methodist Church.
The evening promises to be the perfect balance of soul, R&B, jazz, funk and blues — and a great time. Hazel Miller is one of the most sought-after performers in the state and is the recipient of numerous artist awards both locally and nationwide. She has graced the stage with the like of Junior Wells, The Temptations, Buddy Guy, James Taylor and numerous other music greats.
If you missed her last year, don’t miss her again. Hazel is a true Colorado treasure.
