‘Hairspray’ to open in April

Pagosa Springs High School has just announced the production of their spring musical, “Hairspray,” to open the first week of April with a cast of almost 50 students.

“Hairspray” opened on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theater in 2002 and ran for six years and over 2,600 performances.

The musical garnered over six Tony awards, and now it is coming to our home stage in Pagosa.

Included in our marvelous cast:  Hannah Hemenger, Ryder Searle, Arron Clark, Ayriana Rackham, Connor Burkesmith, Jackie Hampton, Michael Talamante, Jacqueline Garcia, Faith Heitz, Brock Cordova, Daisy Jones, Maria Campuzano, Kailey Carr, Pitcher Lindner, Tyler Ybarra, Summer Candelaria, Devon Jurcak, Mariah Snarr, Morgan Schaaf, Shannel Wilson, Courtney Bishop, Julian Butler, Ahia Kaeser, Jessicah Wellman, Averie Lynch, Madison Greenly, Zoe Geraghty, Cierra Corley and student apprentice DeAnn Schaaf.
