Special to The PREVIEW
The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership (GGP) welcomes all gardeners and greenhouse growers to join local experts at the GGP Amphitheater on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The GGP Amphitheater and Education Dome are located at 80 S. 5th St. in Centennial Park, behind the courthouse.
Presenters will discuss integrated pest management, how to maximize production in a limited space, maintaining healthy soil, season extension and other topics related to greenhouse growing conditions and gardening in our mountain climate.
The cost is $20 and a box lunch will be provided with each registration.
All proceeds for GGP’s Lifelong Learning Workshops benefit the nonprofit’s educational programming for all ages. Go to Pagosagreen.org to register for a workshop or become a member today. For this workshop, all gardeners are encouraged to register as members for just $20.
“The Three Sisters at Your Thanksgiving Table” will be GGP’s final workshop of 2017. On Nov. 4, we’ll gather at the Ross Aragon Community Center with the area’s finest chefs to cook gourmet recipes with corn, beans and squash, our native vegetables.
See you this Saturday, Sept. 23, to learn about growing year-round in a greenhouse.
