Genealogical society presents Victorian and Edwardian fashion show

By Kathy Zilhaver
Special to The PREVIEW

History Alive! is a local group of ladies and gentlemen who value our area’s history and strive to keep it alive through participation in local activities dressed in period attire. The group studies the culture and clothing of Victorian and Edwardian times and portrays individuals from those time periods to benefit the communities of the Four Corners.

The group’s fashion show in Pagosa Springs, presented by the Archuleta County Genealogical Society on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Methodist Church, will include historic information about Victorian fashions and accessories, with models representing different types of styles popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian time periods (1870s through early 1900s).

The fashion show is open to the public.
