The Pagosa Nordic Club and Colorado Mountain Mushers hosted the third annual Pagosa Paw races under clear blue skies last weekend. The races, featuring dog sleds, skijoring (a dog pulling a racer on skis), cani-cross (with snowshoes) and a freight event, were held at a ranch on Piedra Road and featured human competitors as young as 5, as well as a bevy of K-9 competitors.
