Fly fishing raffle supports food boxes

It is not too late to get in on a terrific opportunity to own a beautiful new Sage One fly rod and an Abel Super 5 large arbor reel. The men of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church are raffling off this spectacular fly fishing package, with tickets costing only $20 each. Only 300 tickets are being sold, so the odds are good that you could walk away with this package, valued at over $1,300. Even if you are not a fly fisherman, this would make an exceptional gift for some lucky family member or friend.

The drawing will take place at The Buck Stops Here on Monday, Aug. 25. You need not be present to win. Tickets are on sale in the St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church office, located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd. The proceeds from this auction will go to assist outreach ministries at St. Patrick’s.

The church is one of several churches in town that offers a food box ministry. The need for these boxes has increased due to the recession and the rising cost of maintaining the food pantry. The money from this auction will go a long way in helping to keep the pantry stocked and available to people in need.
