Fall hunter education classes will be held Oct. 19-20 and Nov. 2-3. Both classes will be from 5:30 until 10 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday.
These will be the last classes taught in Pagosa Springs in 2017.
Students must attend Thursday and Friday. Students wanting to attend just the Friday session will not be admitted.
Classes will be held at the San Juan Mounted Patrol Building, 302 San Juan St.
The cost is $10 per student.
These hunter education courses will be open to anyone wishing to obtain a hunter safety card. If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before you can purchase a hunting license.
