Demolition Derby manager needed

One of the highlights for many visitors to the Archuleta County Fair is the Demolition Derby.

The Fair Board is currently seeking a person or group of individuals who would be willing to organize and manage the Derby Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Archuleta County Fair. Previous managers of the Derby have left organized details and records for you to use in making the necessary preparations.

Contact Kim at the Extension Office at 264-2388 if you are interested. The Derby will not take place if someone from the community will not take on. the management role.

Volunteer at the fair

According to the dictionary, the definition of treasure is that it is something highly valued.

“Traditions We Treasure,” the theme of the 2008 Archuleta County Fair, invokes the images of those things highly valued within our community.

We are currently seeking volunteers of all ages and abilities for the Archuleta County Fair on July 31 and Aug. 1, 2 and 3.

Without the help of our volunteers, the fair would not happen. If you are interested in lending us your talents and abilities, you may go online at www.archuletacountyfair.com to find a PDF version of our volunteer form or contact the Extension Office at 264-2388.
