Purgatory at
Durango Mountain Resort
1,350+ Acres
Durango Mountain Resort, located approximately 90 minutes from Pagosa Springs and 25 miles north of Durango, Colorado, on U.S. 550, offers visitors to Pagosa Country yet another option for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and other winter activities.

Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort invites outdoor enthusiasts and modern day explorers to share in the beauty of dramatic vistas and to experience all that the mountain has to offer including:

• Three terrain parks;

• Children’s play park;

• NASTAR racing course;

• 85 trails;

• 1,350-plus acres of beginner, intermediate and expert terrain;

• 10 lifts, including a six-passenger, high-speed express.

Also this season: sleigh rides and snowbiking rentals and instruction.

New for 2010/2011: The Ambassadors Glade, even more new expert terrain, this time on the front side of the mountain. This season’s new terrain follows on the heels of last season’s Legends expansion, which added 125 acres of steep tree skiing on the back side of the mountain, increasing Purgatory’s expert terrain by more than 30 percent.

Whether you’re a skier, snowboarder, snowshoer or snowbiker, and from beginner to expert—however you find your way up and down, once you’ve been on Purgatory you’ll understand why it stands apart.

There are lessons available for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts, beginner to advanced, and a full range of food and beverage services cater to any taste. Top it off with the resort’s outdoor pool and spa.
