Ready for Work course
Pagosa Springs Youth Center is holding a six-week starter course for 13-16 year-olds on how to prepare to go to work. This class will be offered on Thursdays after school at 4 p.m. at the Youth Center, with some classes meeting off site. There is no cost and a snack will be provided. Seven lives all based on true stories from the underground resistance during the Holocaust to create a thought provoking inspiring piece about the human spirit and the difficult situations that bring out their true nature. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays, 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets to the opening are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Regular tickets are $18 in advance or $25 at the door. Group rates available. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pagosacenter.org or by calling 731-7469. The play is appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Scrubs Benefit Golf Tournament
Fund-raiser tournament to bring digital mammography to Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m., tee off is at 10 a.m. sharp, with a shotgun start. To register visit www.pagosaspringsmedicalcenter.com and click on events. Registration forms also available at the hospital and Pagosa Springs Golf Club Pro Shop. The fee is $75 per player and includes green fee, cart, range balls, buffet lunch and a Blue Moon keg, plus great prize giveaways.
